The Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturers Association (VCMA) announced that industry sales of full-size household vacuum cleaners in the first quarter of this year amounted to 4,930,856 units, down 7.3 percent from 5,321,326 units in the same period of last year.
Central vacuum cleaners, not included in those figures, are down 4.0 percent from last year’s total year-to-date performance.
