LG Electronics to Hire 1,300 Jun 4, 2003

According to information released yesterday, LG Electronics of Korea announced that it would hire 1,300 employees—in addition to the 700 hired earlier this year—during the second half of 2003.

In order to accomplish this, the company reported that it has plans to launch an internship program later this month and will tour university campuses in search of workers. The company also has plans to have its human resources departments search for candidates at schools in the United States, Russia, and India. According to the company, it is looking for English-speaking workers for its information technology, research and development, and marketing departments. The company’s agents in Russia and India are reportedly looking for engineering workers.
