The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers announced that it elected Martin Scaglione, chief marketing office of BSH Home Appliances Corporation, to its Board of Directors. Re-elected members of the AHAM Board include Earl F. Jones, senior counsel for GE Appliances, Edward V. McAssey, III, COO of Lasko Products, Inc.; Marc Navarre, vice president of Group SEB Moulinex; and Jerry G. Ryder, president of In-Sink-Erator, Emerson. All re-elected members' terms expire in 2006. The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) honored several industry achievers with awards for service and leadership at the association's annual meeting, held April 6-7 in Washington, DC, U.S. The Home Appliance Industry Leadership (HAIL) awards were presented to Joy Weis Daniel, senior manager of product development for Sharp Electronics; and Edward V. McAssey, III, COO of Lasko Products, Inc. AHAM also announced that four floor care appliance makers have joined the association's newly formed Floor Care Division. New members include Dyson, the Hoover Company, Miele, Inc., and Royal Appliance Manufacturing Company. Back
