Appliance, electronics, and furniture retailer, hhgregg began a brand transformation initiative intended to better serve and engage customers. The effort started May 6 and will continue throughout 2014, and will include changes to its retail stores and its online presence. The U.S. company has 228 stories in 20 states.
Dennis May, president and CEO, said the brand transformation will be the foundation of the retailer’s differentiation from other retailers.
"By eliminating pain points that most often frustrate customers buying large appliances, electronics, furniture, and similar items from big box and DIY retailers, we can help bring the joy back to making these purchases and create lifelong customers," said May. This includes "flawless execution and customer service."
The retailer said it is developing vendor partnerships that will create compelling in-store venues showcasing products and technology innovations.
