The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized Bosch home appliances with a 2014 Energy Star Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award, recognizing continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency.

BSH Home Appliances Corp., based in Irvine, CA, is a subsidiary of BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group in Munich, Germany. The company will be recognized at the 2014 Energy Star Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 29.

Bosch has been an Energy Star partner since 2007. It is being recognized for a long-term commitment to water and energy efficiency through its manufacturing of efficient kitchen appliances. Bosch said its Benchmark Series dishwasher, using 239 kWh/yr, is the most energy efficient dishwasher in the United States.

Energy Star estimates that, through 2013, American families and businesses saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

“Bosch has earned EPA’s highest ENERGY STAR award – the 2014 Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award – because of its unwavering commitment to helping consumers become increasingly more energy efficient,” said EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe.
