Vitamix, U.S.-based manufacturer of household and commercial blenders, launch new products for the European market during the Ambiente trade show in February.
Vitamix had products on display at its booth and at a separate Smoothie Bar at the show, which took place February 7-11, 2014. The company exhibited its new-generation Professional Series 750 blender, with pre-programmed settings for Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, Hot Soups, Puree, as well as a Cleaning Cycle.
The 750 is designed for quieter blending, the result of enhanced airflow management similar to commercial blenders from the company. The enhancement is said to reduce the noise of the blend by half, or 10 decibels. The feature also improves motor cooling, allowing for longer, more robust blending of tough ingredients. The motor offers peak power of 2.2 horsepower motor, enabling the unit to generate blade speeds up to 270 mph or 434 km/h.
The 750 also has a new, more compact design to allow the appliance to fit under most kitchen cabinets. A low-profile, 64-ounce/2-liter, BPA-free container has a steel blade and wider base intended to provide faster, finer blending.
Vitamix expanded its presence in Germany in 2013 with the creation of a sales force structure and subsidiary in Berlin.
