iRobot Corp. maker of home appliance robots, reported revenue for full-year 2013 of $487.4 million, from $436.2 million in 2012.

Net income in full-year 2013 was $27.6 million, from $17.3 million in 2012. Adjusted EBITDA for full-year 2013 was $62.2 million, from $52.5 million in 2012. iRobot's fiscal year ended Dec. 28, 2013.

Full-year domestic (United States) Home Robot revenue growth was more than 30%, while international Home Robot revenue growth was 14%, resulting in an overall 20% year-over-year increase in full-year Home Robot revenue.

"2013 was a great year for iRobot," said Colin Angle, chairman and chief executive officer of iRobot. "All three of our businesses met our expectations and made significant progress against their strategic plans, setting us up well for 2014."

Angle pointed out that, in late-2013, the company launched the Roomba 800 Series of floor vacuuming robots with a new dirt extractor technology. The Scooba 450, the company's wet floor scrubbing robot, was launched in January 2014.

"We continued to increase our investment in marketing programs in our Home Robot business, which resulted in greater brand awareness and revenue growth in that business," Angle added.

In addition to robotic appliances, the company has Defense & Security robotics business and InTouch Health business.
