Premium cooking appliance maker Wolf Appliance is introducing a new line of gas cooktops as part of the Sub-Zero/Wolf New Generation product launch.
The gas cooktops have the company's most powerful dual stacked, sealed burner, designed for more precise control and thus more consistent cooking.
"We've added performance enhancements, including dual stacked, sealed burners with two tiers of flame and one burner capable of 18,000 Btu, giving our customers the widest range of heat on the market," said Jim Bakke, president and CEO of Sub-Zero and Wolf.
Patented dual-stacked sealed burners have two-tier flame ports to provide more accurate heat output. Upper-tier ports are positioned closer to the cookware for more efficient heat transfer and yield a fast boil or high sear. Lower flame ports are farther from the pan for gentle simmers without scorching.
All Wolf gas cooktops now offer burners capable of up to 18,000 Btu, which is 3,000 Btu more than previous models.
Burners are also capable of producing very low levels of heat to melt chocolate and hold delicate sauces for extended periods without scorching. The low setting stays low, without cycling on and off.
The new gas cooktops come in three styles: contemporary, transitional, and professional and are offered in widths from 15 inches to 36 inches.
Family-owned premium refrigerator maker Sub-Zero, Inc., acquired Wolf in 2000, and makes all Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances in the United States. The New Generation launch is the largest product rollout in the history of Sub-Zero/Wolf.
