Oster introduced a high-performance blender to address the growing need for healthier smoothies and foods made from whole fruits, vegetables, and legumes. Jarden Corp. said the new blender is an alternative to other, more expensive, high-performance blenders.
The Oster Versa Performance Blender is designed to be offered at a price much lower than comparable, high-performance blenders.

The new blender is prices at $249.99. it is equipped with a large, 1,400-watt motor that spins the stainless steel blades at 28,000 RPM. Despite the large motor, the appliance is sized to fit under a kitchen cabinet.
The unit comes with an 8-cup jar made of BPA-free Tritan plastic. The unit is backed by a 7-year limited warranty.
