Xeros, producer of ultra low water laundry cleaning systems, is launching its polymer cleaning system for hotels with in-house laundry operations.
The company's system is intended to significantly reduces laundry costs, increase the life of linens, and help hotels advance their commitment to green operations.
The company noted that Sterling Linen Service, one of the largest commercial hospitality laundries in New England, as well as the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA, are both using Xeros' systems.
Xeros will be showcasing its solution at the International Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Show, November 9-12 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
The company's patented system uses up to 70% less water, 50% less energy, and about 50% less detergent when compared to conventional washing, and is design to deliver superior cleaning results.
The system uses reusable polymer beads in the wash cycle. These beads have a lifespan of hundreds of washes; they are then collected and recycled in the polymer supply chain.
Xeros said its system routinely out-performs aqueous washing methods in terms of delivery longer linen life.
