Appliance maker Little Swan, a part of the China's Midea Group, reports "explosive" sales of 10,000 iAdd washing machines over the recent May Day holiday.
Little Swan noted that Chinese living standards have been increasing and consumers are more inclined to buy high-end, energy-efficient household appliances. The high-end iAdd function is an automatic detergent dispensing system that has been growing in popularity for their washing performance and reduced consumption of water, detergent, and electricity.
Little Swan has been making new efforts to promote its brand, including a recent nationwide tour with stops in 23 major cities.
Little Swan launched iAdd-enhanced washers in December 2010. The function is now found on all of the company's high-end machines. The function to automatically dispense the proper amount of detergent needed for each wash.
