Obituary: U.S. HVAC Industry's Bill Dalton Dies

William Edward Dalton died May 16, 2013. Dalton had a long career in the United States HVAC industry, serving as the engineering vice president for Excel Comfort Systems.

Dalton was also active in industry trade organizations, serving as chairman of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association and as a vice president of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute. (GAMA and ARI later merged to form the current Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute AHRI.) Dalton was a long-time member of ARI's Certification Programs and Policy Committee and the Unitary Small Equipment Product Section.

Dalton received the Richard C. Schulze Distinguished Service Award from ARI in 2001.
