Australia's Channel Nine premiered its seventh season of its reality TV series The Block Sky High, with Freedom Kitchens selected as the exclusive kitchen supplier.
The show features five couples from around Australia, each converting an entire floor of a former South Melbourne hotel into one high-end, house-sized apartment. In 10 weeks each couple with demo and renovate their floor into a 220-square-meter luxury apartment, each with three bedrooms and five bathrooms, with open plan kitchen, living and dining, plus a large enclosed terrace.
Kitchen and appliances showroom Freedom Kitchens will guide contestants through the creative design process to deliver inspirational kitchen transformations.
"A kitchen can make or break a property sale," says Susan Hasler of Freedom Kitchens. "And with this series shaping up to be the toughest yet, Freedom Kitchens will be pulling out all stops to help each couple to design the best kitchens The Block has ever seen. This is going to be one roller-coaster ride you don't want to miss!"
All apartments will go to public auction and each couple will keep the profits made from the sale, so the better the renovation, the more money they make. The couple who top the auction also win the grand prize of $100,000.
