ECHO Releases Market's Most Powerful Low-Noise Blower Mar 13, 2013

ECHO Incorporated, maker of outdoor power equipment for commercial and residential use, launched the model PB-760LN to be the most powerful low-noise backpack blower on the market.

The unit is designed with a larger muffler, sound deadening insulation, and a mid-pipe baffle. These design features help lower sound output to 65 dBA, measured per the industry standard for testing leaf blowers. The company said the annoying whine, common to outdated leaf blowers and generated by the main impeller fan, is essentially gone on these models.

The new model is designed to be superior to other low-noise blowers on the market in terms of air volume and maximum airspeed. The new model features 535 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air volume at 214 miles per hour; the company said the nearest competitor offers 477 CFM and 177 mph at the same decibel level.

"The PB-760LN is a great tool for those maintaining green spaces close to homes or noise sensitive areas such as hospitals and golf courses," says ECHO Product Manager Brad Mace.
