U.S. manufacturing technology orders in December 2012 were their strongest since 1996, according to a February report from AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology.
December U.S. manufacturing technology orders were $499.43 million, up 17.8% from November 2012 and down 9.4% from $550.99 million in December 2011.
The full-year total for 2012 was $5,705.58 million, up 2.6% from 2011.
"Finishing 2012 with the highest order total in 16 years certainly confirms the renaissance of U.S. manufacturing," said Douglas K. Woods, AMT President.
