IPC Names Hasselmann VP Government Relations Feb 21, 2013

IPC -- Association Connecting Electronics Industries named John Hasselmann its new vice president of government relations. Hasselmann will start his new position on March 4, 2013 and will be based in IPC's Washington, D.C. office.

Hasselmann will be responsible for development and implementation of the organization's global advocacy efforts and policy agenda. He will work closely with IPC's Government Relations Steering Committee and IPC Washington, D.C. office staff to identify issues and other opportunities where IPC can demonstrate its global leadership in government relations and public policy.

Hasselmann was most recently the senior director of government relations at BSA The Software Alliance in Washington, D.C.

"John's experience and bipartisanship has made him a respected and trusted advocate in Washington," said John Mitchell, IPC president and CEO. "It was impressive to get personal calls from distinguished and highly visible representatives from government and industry in support of John and his work. We look forward to welcoming him to IPC."
