Best Buy Co., Inc. had revenue of $12.8 billion for the nine weeks ended Jan. 5, 2013, down 0.4% to $12.9 billion for the nine weeks ended Dec. 31, 2011.
Revenue in the United States was down 1.2% in the period, to $9.9 billion. Revenue in international stores was up 2.2%, to $2.9 billion.
Comparable store sales were unchanged in the time period in the United States, although comps were down 6.4% in international stores, bringing total store comps for the period down 1.4%
Best Buy's U.S. segment online channel had revenue of $1.1 billion, up 10% from the previous year. ComScore said Best Buy was one of the top three most trafficked websites for the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday. Experian data ranked Best Buy as the No. 3 retail website on Cyber Monday, with 9.3 million visits.
