Whirlpool Corp. was named to the 2012-2013 Ocean Tomo 300 Patent Index for the seventh consecutive year. The equity index, priced and published by NYSE Euronext, is the first based on the value of corporate intellectual property.

The index is based on the value of a company's intellectual property, especially patents. Whirlpool Corp. was selected as one of the companies with significant proprietary position obtained through patents issued by the United States government.
