CEA Report: Consumer Confidence in Technology at Highest Level Ever Dec 20, 2012

Consumer confidence in technology reached the highest level in the history of the Consumer Electronics Association Index, according to the latest figures released today by CEA. Consumer expectations in the economy overall was slightly higher than last month.

The Index of Consumer Technology Expectations (ICTE), measuring consumer expectations about technology spending, rose 9.3 points to stand at 97.3 in December 2012. It was the highest mark for the ICTE since tracking began in January 2007 and is up 3.7 points from December 2011.

The Index of Consumer Expectations (ICE), measuring consumer expectations about the broader economy, was 171.1 in December, up 8.5 points from November 2012 and up 0.4 points from December 2011.
