Spending Monitor: Economic Confidence Higher

The Discover U.S. Spending Monitor was at 95.4 in November, down from 98.1 in October, which the survey developers said was a reflection of lower consumer confidence in personal finances. The Index was at 91.3 in September.

In the survey, released in early December, consumers also indicated that they intend to spend more in December during the holiday season.

Consumers that consider the U.S. Economy to be improving was at 35% in November 2012, the same as it was in October 2012, and up from 30% in September 2012.
