British kitchen appliance manufacturer Kenwood is making its Canadian debut in October 2012. Kenwood is part of Italian appliance group De'Longhi S.p.a.
The company said it sells 10 million Kenwood products annually, and said it is the global brand leader in total food preparation and food processors in non-North America markets.
The Kenwood Canada collection of 12 counter-top appliances includes the Kenwood Cooking Chef, the brand's most popular kitchen machine. The appliance is used by Chef Dale MacKay, inaugural winner of Food Network's Top Chef Canada.
The appliance, priced at CAD $1,999.00, is a unique kitchen machine that cooks and stirs at the same time, using induction heating technology.
"The incredible assortment of multi-task attachments far exceeds anything we've seen here in Canada up to now," said MacKay.
The Canada collection will also include
* additional multifunctional Kitchen Machines, designed to offer more versatility than stand mixers
* multifunctional Multipro Food Processors with a patented dual-drive system for slicing, chopping, blending, and juicing all in one product
* thermal-resist glass goblet blenders
* triblade technology hand blenders
"Kenwood is very proud to be entering the Canadian marketplace at such an exciting time in the kitchen appliance industry," said Mark Welch, Kenwood CEO. "We are respected pioneers in the industry with a well-earned reputation for the design and manufacture of the most cutting-edge, efficient and stylish kitchen machines and appliances. We look forward to inspiring Canadians with the confidence to create more in the kitchen and believe their experience with Kenwood will be a positive and long-lasting one."
