July total Canadian heating and plumbing product sales were up 12.6% or $57.5 million from July 2011, according to the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating Wholesalers' Sales Report.
Total product year-to-date sales were $3,192.2 billion, up 8.8%, or $258.7 million, from July 2011.
CIPH notes that Quebec experiences an annual construction shutdown for two weeks each July.
HVAC/R wholesale sales in July 2012 were up 16.2% from July 2011. Year-to-dates, HVAC/R sales were up 7.7%. HVAC/R was up in all regions of Canada, with Quebec posting no change.
Hydronics wholesale sales in July 2012 were up 1.3% from July 2011. Year-to-dates, Hydronics sales were up 4.7%.
