Fisher & Paykel Appliances Appoints Independent Advisor to Weigh Haier Takeover Offer Sep 13, 2012

The Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings board members who are independent of Haier appointed Grant Samuel as independent adviser. Samuel will prepare a report on merits of a proposed offer of acquisition from Chinese appliance maker Haier. He will also oversee F&P's response to the offer.

F&P said it will respond to the offer within 14 days of the date Haier sends its offer document to shareholders.
