Shad Joins Viking Range Aug 1, 2012

Jim Shad has joined Viking Range Corp. as executive vice president and chief revenue officer. Shad will have responsibility for all Viking sales and go-to-market activities, both domestic and international.

"I enjoyed getting to know Jim when he was at LG and am happy that we can continue our relationship now that he will be with us here at Viking," said Viking CEO Fred Carl, Jr. "He brings a tremendous amount of expertise in sales and marketing and has extensive experience with global markets, an area of focus for us. I know he's going to make a tremendous contribution to the company."

Shad was most recently Chief Go-To-Market Officer at LG Electronics, having responsibility for global GTM functions spanning 30 subsidiaries around the world. In 2010, Shad was made president of LG U.S., where he led the company's consumer electronics and major appliance business in the United States with responsibilities for sales, marketing, service, supply chain, product management, finance, and human resources.

At Viking Shad will oversee the continued expansion of the company's international sales, which currently consists of about 40 distributors in more than 80 global markets. He will report to the CEO and will be a member of the company's Executive Committee.
