Liebherr Annual Report: Appliances Grew 3% in 2011 Jul 13, 2012

The Liebherr Group annual report has been published, and reports that the group as a whole increased its turnover in the 2011 financial year by 747.0 million euros or 9.8% to 8,334.0 million euros (approx. US$10.2 billion). Almost all group divisions contributed to growth.

Liebherr appliances division boosted its total turnover to 844.5 million euros (approx. $1.0 billion), an increase of 24.7 million euros or 3.0%.

The 2011 growth of the group led to 2354 new jobs, group-wide, bringing total group employees to 35,333 people worldwide.

Liebherr Group intends to maintain its momentum in 2012, and said increases are realistic in all its divisions. The group anticipates an increase in total turnover of about 10%.

Aside from its appliances divisions, the decentrally organized group is active in cranes, earthmoving equipments, and other heavy equipment, as well as in aerospace, components, and transportation industries.
