Truong of Electrolux: Premium Cooking Appliance Demand Will Match New Plant Output by 2014 Jun 11, 2012

Jack Truong, CEO of Electrolux North America, told the Greater Memphis Chamber that construction of the new Electrolux plant in Memphis is on-schedule, according to a report in the Memphis Business Journal.

Ed Arnold reported on Truong's comments to the Greater Memphis Chamber, where he discussed the 700,000-square-foot plant, which will manufacture premium cooking appliances. He said the plant is expected to be completed by the end of 2012, with the first appliance to come off the line in the first quarter of 2013. The plant is expected to reach full capacity output in 2014 - and by then, Truong said, he believes demand will have caught up with the new capacity. The plant is expected to create about 115 new jobs in 2012, about 800 in 2012, and another 200-300 in 2014.
