Lawnmower producer Driven by Solar equipped its new 20-inch rechargeable lawnmower with a 36-V, 10.5Ah lithium battery pack designed to provide 45 minutes of continuous cutting time. This battery is designed for more than 600 charge cycles. Users can see the remaining charge on a power level indicator on the battery. The battery can be recharged on or off the mower. Charging takes a few hours using the provided charger.

The UltraPower PMLI-20 Cordless Lawnmower is designed to be a larger, all-steel-deck version of the company's earlier 14-inch push mower. The design offers side-discharge, rear-bagging, or mulching. The deck can be adjusted to seven different height levels.

The unit is specified as having a weight of 62 lb, including a 12-lb battery pack.

Driven By Solar Inc. was established in 2008 to develop environmentally friendly lawn and garden equipment.

The mower is now being sold on the Sears.com web site.
