Major appliances market shares among the big box stores in the United States are remaining steady, according to a new Stevenson Company report.

In March 2012 the report found no major shifts in market shares. Sears still leads the big boxes, followed by Lowe's and then The Home Depot.

The report's survey results show appliance prices also remaining steady. One example in the report: Consumers paid an average of $563 for a washer and dryer, and that is up only slightly from $555 in the same period in 2011.
