Electrolux Licenses Frigidaire Brand for Sinks and Faucets May 17, 2012

Electrolux is now licensing its Frigidaire brand in North America to Artisan Manufacturing for use on a high-end line of sinks and faucets.

Appliance OEM Electrolux owns dozens of brands and has been actively licensing them outside North America for years. Its Electrolux Global Brand Licensing (EGBL) business, formed in 2007, is now seeking to expand brand licensing in North America as well. Artisan is one of its first North American brand partners.

"We've been active in Europe, the Far East, and Middle East," said Matt Young, who heads EGBL, "but in the field of corporate brands, this business model is not commonly found in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, so we're very excited about the possibilities."

The Artisan sinks and faucets were introduced at the recent 2012 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show.
