Turkish appliance maker Arcelik reported net sales of (TRY) Turkish Lira 2,405,985,000 in the first quarter of 2012 (approx. US$1,322,400,000), up from TRY 1,699,386,000 in 1Q 2011. Gross profits were TRY 680,737,000 in 1Q 2012 (approx. $374,227,000), up from TRY 532,655,000 in 1Q 2011.
Appliance segment 1Q 2012 revenue was TRY 1,510,212,000, up from TRY 1,099,497,000 (approx. $604,582,000) in 1Q 2011. Appliance segment gross profit was TRY 476,990,000, up from TRY 390,793,000 in 1Q 2011.
Consumer Electronics segment 1Q 2012 revenue was TRY 485,313,000, up from TRY 318,503,000 in 1Q 2011. Consumer Electronics segment gross profit was TRY 103,123,000, up from TRY 67,314,000 in 1Q 2011.
The Other business segment 1Q 2012 revenue was TRY 410,460,000, up from TRY 281,386,000 in 1Q 2011. The Other business segment gross profit was TRY 100,624,000, up from TRY 74,548,000 in 1Q 2011.
