The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute provided comments to the Department of Energy's this month on efficiency standards and test procedures for commercial heating, air-conditioning, and water heating equipment. AHRI said it generally supported DOE's proposals to test procedures but recommended using the new edition of ASHRAE Standard 127, which should be finalized soon, as the computer room air-conditioners standard.
AHRI also questioned the inclusion of test tolerance and verification issues, which were presented just 10 days before the deadline for comments.
