Perlick Corp.'s Shallow-Depth Series of undercounter refrigerators, beverage centers, and wine reserves earned the 2011 Good Design Award in the Commercial Fittings/Supplies category.

The Good Design awards began in 1950 and annually bestows international design recognition.

"Perlick designed the world's first line of shallow-depth undercounter refrigeration to accommodate what we recognized as a growing need for innovative refrigeration that featured the ability to accommodate modern-design specifications," said Jeff Wimberly, vice president of sales and marketing for Perlick's Residential and Hospitality Products.

Designed by Perlick as a result of requests from specifiers, the Shallow-Depth Series includes the world's first undercounter refrigerator, beverage center, and wine reserve with an 18-inch depth. The industry exclusive depth allows for installation in unique hospitality, residential, and commercial design applications such as modern kitchens with shallow cabinets, kitchen islands, lounges, offices, hospitals, hotels, and sporting arenas.

The Shallow-Depth Series is also ADA-compliant and powered by a quiet 700 Btu compressor and the OEM's Rapidcool refrigeration technology, designed to have the fastest temperature pull-down in the industry. The fridge can chill room-temperature beverages in less than 30 minutes.
