Sears Names Haber to Lead Home Appliances Business Mar 23, 2012

Sears Holdings recruited Sony Electronics veteran Steve Haber to run its appliance business. Haber will join the company as senior vice president and president, Home Appliances. His most recent position was executive vice president with Sony Corp., where he lead the Product to Consumer Marketing and the Home and Digital Reading business divisions.

Haber will now lead Sears' effort to continue driving profitable growth in its appliance business.

"Home Appliances is a cornerstone of our business and our Kenmore brand is in the lives of 100 million Americans," said Ron Boire, Sears Holdings' executive vice president, chief merchandising officer and president, Sears and Kmart formats. "Steve is a proven executive with a deep understanding of what is important to customers - value, quality, innovation and selection."

"Sears is an industry leader in appliances and I believe we can further that position with great products, and by delivering a great experience to our customers and members," Haber said.
