Metrology and spectroscopy firm Renishaw opened a new subsidiary in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, to support an expanding customer base in Mexico and Central America. The operation will be managed by Alejandro Silva C., formerly the owner of Metric Precision Group, a Mexican distributor of Renishaw's metrology products.
Ben Taylor, Renishaw Assistant Chief Executive, said the company's sees significant potential in Mexico, where electronics - as well as automotive and other sectors - are growing.
"These are all industries in which our products can make a real difference to manufacturing efficiency and quality," Taylor said. "Our new subsidiary will focus on the promotion and support of Renishaw's full range of technologies for machine tools, measuring systems and motion control."
