Indesit Sales Down 1.8% in 2011 Feb 10, 2012

European appliance OEM Indesit reported sales of EUR 2.825 billion (approx. US $3.7 billion) in 2011, down 1.8% from EUR 2.877 billion in 2010. Earnings (EBIT) in 2011 were EUR 150 million, down 18.2% from EUR 184 million in 2010. Indesit appliances sales volumes were down 0.7% in 2011.

Indesit reported fourth quarter 2011 sales of EUR 741 million, down 8.6% from EUR 810 million in 4Q 2010. Earnings (EBIT) were EUR 50 million, down 6.3% from EUR 53 million in 4Q 2010.

Appliances sales volumes in the fourth quarter of 2011 were down 7.7% from 4Q 2010.
