Jarden Preliminary Results Point To Record Year Jan 27, 2012

In releasing preliminary results, small appliance maker Jarden Corp. said it expects revenue of approximately $6.68 billion and earnings of $785 - $790 million for full-year 2011.

"Based on preliminary results, our record fourth quarter performance capped off another record year for Jarden in terms of both revenue and segment earnings, despite the mild weather experienced in the fourth quarter," said Martin E. Franklin, executive chairman.

Jarden operates in three primary business segments: Outdoor Solutions, Branded Consumables, and its appliance business, Consumer Solutions. Which sells through several brand names such as Crock-Pot, FoodSaver, Mr. Coffee, Oster, Rival, Sunbeam, and others.

Jarden also announced a plan to accelerate stock buy-backs.
