Samsung Launches Wi-Fi Washer at CES Jan 13, 2012

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., launched the WF457 Front-Loading Washer, designed to have the largest capacity at 4.5 cu. ft. as well as a Smart Control System that to significantly streamline the laundry process.

The WiFi-enabled washer enables consumers to stay in touch with the washer from anywhere on a smartphone or other connected device, to monitor cycle selections, remaining time, and finishing alerts. Users can also start or pause the washer. The washer also has the largest 8-inch color LCD touch screen, Samsung explained, for easy cycle selection.

The SpeedSpray function delivers a cleansing shot of water with dissolved detergent and then a rinsing shot for improved rinsing performance – functions said to result in cycle times up to 25% shorter than conventional washers.
