IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries ended 2011 with 3,215 members, its highest number of members ever. Members are companies from every level of the electronics supply chain: printed board manufacturers, electronics manufacturing services companies, original equipment manufacturers, and industry suppliers. Two-thirds of members are in North America, with others spread evenly between Europe and Asia.
IPC said membership in each geographic area is up from 2007, when the global economic crisis started.
The global trade association is based in Bannockburn, IL, U.S., with offices in Taos, NM, U.S.; Arlington, V, U.S..; Stockholm; Moscow; Bangalore, India; and in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing, China.
