The NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop (PIC) from Hearthware, Inc. is a finalist in the Countertop Cooking & Beverage Appliances category in the 2012 Housewares Design Awards.

Award judges selected appliance for its design, appearance, function, and originality. It is eligible for a Best of the Best award that will go to the best housewares products of the year.

The PIC is designed to be eco-friendly and energy efficient and allows the consumer to adjust heat precisely. It is designed to cooks up to 50% faster than a traditional gas or electric cooktop.

Winners will be announced at the Housewares Design Awards presentation ceremony and luncheon on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
