Husqvarna Names Linnarson CEO and President Dec 12, 2011

Hans Linnarson, acting CEO and president of global outdoor power equipment maker Husqvarna, has been appointed permanent CEO and president.

"We are very pleased with Hans' work as acting CEO and president for Husqvarna and the board of directors has full confidence in his abilities to lead the Husqvarna Group," said Chairman Lars Westerberg. The decision was made after a search was made over the summer of 2011.

The Husqvarna Group is the world's largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers, and garden tractors, sold to both residential and professional users. Products are sold in 100 countries and it had 2010 sales of about SEK 32 billion (approx. US$4.7 billion). The company has about 15,000 employees.
