Ariens Job Fair Attracts 200 In Brillion Sep 29, 2011

Outdoor power equipment Ariens Company held a job fair in its hometown of Brillion, WI, yesterday that attracted 200 people, according to a WLUK-TV news report. Ariens is looking to fill 100 seasonal job positions.

As ApplianceMagazine.com reported last week, the family-run company just celebrated the opening of a new 26,000 square-foot, $3.8 million dollar expansion to its Brillion headquarters. Dan Ariens, president and CEO, said at the opening that the new expansion is for product development, with R&D, engineering, and testing capabilities.

However the Wednesday job fair was to hire seasonal workers for manufacturing snow throwers. The big snows of last winter left retailer inventories of snow throwers depleted and helped give Ariens a 28% sales boost in its last fiscal year.
