Dates for the 2012 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show were changed to avoid conflicting with the dates of the Global G8 and NATO Summit, set for May 15-22, 2012 in Chicago. The National Restaurant Association said NRA Show 2012 was originally scheduled for May 19-22, 2012.

NRA Show 2012 will now take place May 5-8, 2012 at Chicago's McCormick Place. The co-located International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event will take place May 6-7.

The National Restaurant Association held talks with the Chicago Mayor’s Office, the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, and the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, at which time it became clear that security and logistics surrounding the G8 and NATO Summit will restrict movement in Chicago.
