Luxury appliance maker Dacor designed its new Distinctive 30-inch Gas Cooktop to have cooking power previously unavailable in a cooktop its size. It has the highest BTU of any 30-inch gas cooktop in the luxury market: 54,000 BTU of overall heat output. The cooktop is equipped with five high power burners, including a SimmerSear burner with a melting feature. The cooktop is designed to give home chefs the option to simmer, sear, or sauté at ultra-high or ultra-low temperatures.

The cooktop is designed for easy cleaning with a one-piece spill basin and the company's scratch-resistant, bead-blasted PermaClean finish. Die-cast stainless steel are placed at angles designed to be ergonomically easy to use. Illumina Indicator Lights glow in the company's signature flame-blue when a burner is on, intended to be an eye-catching safety feature.

The cooktop is the most recent collaboration between Dacor and design group BMW Group DesignworksUSA.
