The U.S. Census Bureau said preliminary, seasonally adjusted June 2011 manufacturers' shipments of durable goods in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were valued at $10,176 million, up 0.3% from the seasonally adjusted figure for May 2011. January-through-June 2011 (non-seasonally adjusted) shipments in this category were valued at $59,859 million, up 7.2% from the same period in 2010.
Seasonally adjusted shipments in the Household Appliances subcategory were valued at $1,554 million, down 1.0% from June 2011. January-through-June 2011 (non-seasonally adjusted) shipments in this subcategory were valued at $9,453 million, down 1.5% from the same period in 2010.
Seasonally adjusted June shipments of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Equipment (HVAC/R) were valued at $2,641 million, up 0.4% from May 2011. January-through-June 2011 (non-seasonally adjusted) shipments in this subcategory were valued at $15,677 million, down 4.6% from the same period in 2010.
