Electrolux Names O’Gorman President of Small Appliances North America Aug 8, 2011

Electrolux named Marty O’Gorman head of Small Appliances North America, reporting to Henrik Bergström, president and CEO of Electrolux Small Appliances. O’Gorman was previously vice president and general manager for the Frigidaire brand for Electrolux Major Appliances North America, a position he held since 2008.

O’Gorman will now be responsible for the North American floor care business, which sells consumer floor care appliances under the Eureka and Electrolux brands and sells commercial appliances under the Sanitaire brand name. Central vacuums are made by Electrolux Central Vacuum Systems, previously known as Beam Industries and still sold under the Beam name.

O’Gorman will continue to assist Electrolux Major Appliances North America with the management of the Frigidaire brand until a successor is named.

O’Gorman joined Electrolux as CFO for Major Appliances North America in 2001. He has served as leader of the major appliance freezer division and acted as executive sponsor for the Information Technology department.
