Panasonic Forecasts Fiscal 2012 Jun 22, 2011

Osaka-based appliance and consumer electronics makers Panasonic Corp. was finally able to provide financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012 (fiscal 2012).

The forecasts, originally scheduled for release in April, were delayed because the company was still assessing the impact of the earthquake and tsunami on its businesses.

Panasonic forecast 2012 net sales of 8,700,000 million yen (approx. $108.3 billion) and expects a profit of 270,000 million yen (approx. $3.4 billion). In fiscal 2011 net sales were 8,692,672 million yen and operating profit was 305,254 million yen.
