April 2011 manufacturers' shipments in the category Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components were at a seasonally adjusted value of $10,055 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The value is 2.0% lower than the value of $10,262 million in March 2011.
Seasonally adjusted new orders in April 2011 were $10,167 million, down 4.9% from $10,694 million in March 2011.
Non-seasonally adjusted shipments were valued at $9,969 million in April 2011, compared to $11,046 million in March 2011.
Non-seasonally adjusted new orders were $10,017 million in April 2011, compared to $11,334 million in March 2011.
Non-seasonally adjusted shipments for 2011 so far were valued at $38,846 million, up 8.0% from the figure of $35,964 million for the same period in 2010.
