Danfoss Appliance Controls is celebrating its 60 years in the business of producing and selling mechanical thermostats for cooling equipment. During that time it has produced 342 million thermostats.
Mechanical thermostats are a critical component in cooling equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and bottle coolers. Danfoss counts some of the largest cooling appliance OEMS, such as Electrolux and Bosch-Siemens, among its customers.
Danfoss was the first company that fully automated its mechanical thermostat production in Europe back in the 1980s.
”Danfoss is our preferred supplier of mechanical thermostats because they deliver high quality everywhere in the world," said Stefano Franchini, purchasing manager at Electrolux. "The thermostats are the brain in our products and therefore quality is very important for us. A key advantage of mechanical thermostats compared to electronic ones is their simple functionality that allows higher quality, freedom in the design and quick service”.
Danfoss employees in Slovakia, China, and Denmark are will be holding events to celebrate the 60th anniversary of mechanical thermostats.
Danfoss Appliance Controls today makes thermostats in Slovakia and China. Appliance Controls has about 450 employees worldwide
