Electrolux's sponsorship of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival (May 11-22) allows it to showcase Electrolux consumer and professional appliances and the Electrolux brand.

Electrolux Professional is catering special occasions at Cannes, including the opening gala and daily festival lunches. The meals are prepared with equipment from Electrolux Professional by Electrolux ambassador and master chef Alain Ducasse. A Molteni stove, a flagship Electrolux Professional’s cooking appliance, serves as the stage for live cooking exhibitions by Alain Ducasse and the team of Lenôtre French culinary institute in Paris.

Electrolux is also contributing "fashion care" products – highly featured domestic washing machines and tumble dryers.

Its most high-profile contribution to the event is the Electrolux Agora pavilion, used to host a series of official Cannes events. This includes the opening and closing ceremonies and several dinners. The pavilion has been erected on the beach alongside the Festival palace.

The pavilion will also host the first Electrolux “Menu de Cannes” finale. Here, leading gastronomy and lifestyle experts will cook for the official 2011 International Cannes Grand Jury in a competition designed to showcase their professional expertise in food, design, and style.
