Electrolux redesigned its Rapido handheld vacuum for a more appealing look. The newly designed vacuum has a granite grey body to harmonize with darker colors as well as the stainless-steel surfaces of modern kitchens. New tints are offered for the transparent dust covers.
The wet and dry models, which can be used for handling kitchen spills instead of using a damp cloth or paper towel, is offered with water-themed colors for the dust covers: Bahama blue and cyan. Standard models come in raspberry and cassis colors.
Like previous models, the new units have wheels on the front. The wheels help prevent scratching surfaces and help control the distance to the surface for optimum pick-up.
The most powerful model is the Rapido ZB4112, with cyclonic cleaning, has improved performance due to the air inlet design. Air swirls when entering the appliance to separate dust particles from the filters and helps keep the filters from clogging.
The newly designed Rapido will be available in June 2011.
